KEVIN ELDER, PRESIDENT & CEO
Before founding GoWireless, Elder attended
California State University at Long Beach where he participated in
the collegiate football program. Taking his teamwork and leadership
skills he became a top salesman in the field as he worked his way
through college. In 1995, with a small loan and a clear vision of what
his company would become, Elder set out to build his dream, a retail
establishment specializing in wireless communications; One that could
not only provide the necessary tools but also the knowledge and
training to help customers utilize those tools effectively.
Elder takes tremendous pride in the fact that he has built a company
with a firm foundation of superior customer service and positive
word-of-mouth. It is these qualities that have helped Elder procure a
group of top industry leaders to join him in his vision and to
continually expand.
JOHN SALISBURY, CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
Salisbury joined the GoWireless team in 1999 and
has held positions as General Manager of Paging, General Manager of
Los Angeles, and VP/Controller. He has over 11 years of
wireless experience operating in a variety of functions. Prior to
joining GoWireless, Salisbury held management positions in inventory,
accounting, and corporate training with PageNet. Salisbury is currently
responsible for the Corporate Operations of GoWireless. He is a
graduate of San Diego State University with a B.S. degree in Business
Administration with an emphasis in Finance.
PAUL HUETHER, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Huether is Chief Financial officer of
GoWireless. Huether has over twenty years of diversified management
experience, including ten in the wireless area. An honors graduate of
Seton Hall University, he is a Certified Public Accountant. Huether
began his public accounting career with Price Waterhouse and has held
senior management positions with Henry Schein (a medical distributor),
and was Vice President and General Manager of Page Net of Las Vegas.
Most recently, he was Chief Financial Officer of The Impact Family of
companies; a conglomerate of twenty three companies in the aggregate
production and sales as well as land development for the greater Las
Vegas Valley.
JAY WIESELER, CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER
Wieseler began his career with PageNet, holding
many positions in sales and operations. He held Vice President of Sales
positions in markets throughout the western region. His last position
with PageNet was Area Vice President of Sales for the San Francisco Bay
Area. Wieseler's area comprised over 460,000 customers, and revenues in
excess of $34 million. Wieseler started with GoWireless in March of
2001 as the Vice President/General Manager managing the state of
Washington. He later served as Regional President and was responsible
for the Pacific Northwest operations of GoWireless.
He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Lincoln with a B.S.
degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and
Marketing.
LARRY FLETCHER, VICE PRESIDENT - CORPORATE ADMINISTRATION
Now in his 13th year with GoWireless, Fletcher
utilizes his 16 years in the wireless industry and his 30 years of
managerial experience to effectively oversee the company’s Real Estate
and Legal Affairs. He has managed numerous acquisitions over the
past several years and has negotiated hundreds of leases for the
company’s wireless retail locations. Fletcher holds a degree in
Administration of Justice with additional coursework in the legal field.
He is currently the Vice President, Corporate Administration and
serves on the company’s board of directors.
STACY AKIN, VICE PRESIDENT - PERSONNEL ADMINISTRATION
Akin brings 30+ years of payroll experience to
the GoWireless management team. Prior to joining GoWireless, Akin
expanded her construction payroll department to an official payroll
service company. In 1995, Akin left and joined GoWireless to create and
head its Accounting and Payroll departments. Since joining GoWireless,
Akin has played a key role in the evolution of the company and has
spearheaded many of its current policies and procedures in effect to
date. Akin is currently the Personnel Administrator and is on the Board
of Directors.
DAN WILKINS, REGIONAL PRESIDENT - WEST & SOUTH AREAS
Wilkins started his career with PageNet, holding
positions in sales, sales management and general management. He held
Vice President/GM positions in 4 markets throughout the U.S., most
recently in the Arizona market. Wilkins also held the position of
National Vice President of Sales for Vast Solutions, a wireless software
integrator.
Wilkins started with GoWireless in January of 2001 as the Vice
President/General Manager managing the state of Arizona.
Wilkins is currently Regional President and is responsible for the
West and South Area operations of GoWireless. He is a graduate of
California State Polytechnic University, with a B.S. degree in Business
Administration with an emphasis in Marketing.
GORDON GOBER, REGIONAL PRESIDENT – SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, MIDWEST & NORTHEAST AREAS
Gober joined the GoWireless team in 2004 as
Regional President of the California and Colorado markets. Gober
possesses over 10 years of senior management experience within the
Communications and Technology sectors. Prior to joining GoWireless,
Gober held the position of General Manager for ADT Security Services,
Inc., a Division of Tyco Fire and Security. He has held several
leadership roles including National Sales Director for Plant Equipment,
Inc., and Regional Sales Director for PageNet.
Gober is a graduate of Framingham State College with a B.A. degree in
Psychology / Management Science and has completed
undergraduate course studies in Engineering Management Technology,
graduate work in Business Administration,
and is a graduate of Massachusetts Military Academy – OCS.
JOHN PALMER, PRESIDENT - STRATEGIC ALLIANCES
Palmer is President - Strategic Alliances for
GoWireless.
He is responsible for managing an Affiliate program as well as joint
marketing programs with national retailers.
Palmer previously worked for Verizon for 30 years, most recently
serving as President-Southern California Region for Verizon Wireless,
where he lead over 3,000 employees and was responsible for overall
sales, marketing, operations and financial performance of that region,
including markets in the five-county Greater Los Angeles area and San
Diego County.
Before that he held a similar position as President-Upstate New York
Region for Verizon Wireless.
Upon the formation of Verizon Wireless in 2000, Palmer became the
first Vice President of Marketing for the company’s Northeast Area.
Palmer earned a bachelor's degree in economics from The College of
the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.
He is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board for the University of
California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business, and serves on
the Board of Directors for Odyssey Software, Incorporated from
Rochester, New York.
MARK BORGES, CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER
Borges brings more than 20 years of strategic IT management to GoWireless. Prior to joining the GoWireless team, Borges held Senior IT positions at companies in the Retail, Software Development and Business Process Outsourcing industries. Borges is responsible for management and oversight of the GoWireless IT infrastructure, Business Automation and IT Risk Management functions. Borges holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Framingham State University and a MBA and M.S. in Computer Information Systems from Bentley University.
STEVE THOMPSON, VICE PRESIDENT – GRIP
Thompson is a licensed insurance agent with extensive insurance industry experience enabling him to start and manage the GoWireless Replacement Insurance Program. In 2002, he started and managed a successful independent life insurance agency. In 2006, he developed new products for life insurance companies in the US and Canada. As a manager of product development, he gained invaluable integration and technological experience in web-based operations. He has also managed a call center, supervised broker transactions and sold products for a mutual funds company. He is a graduate of University of Colorado with a B.A. degree in Economics with an emphasis in business.
